The Vision
Our couple Katherine and Ryan both work in LA’s movie industry, so it only seemed natural that the vision for their wedding design was Old Hollywood romance. Floral designer Wild West Florals used a rich color palette of deep burgundy wine, blush and beige with heavy greenery, gold accents and a hint of boho design to create a loose, organic and elegant collection of florals. Burgundy stationery and signage from Minted displaying the couples wedding hashtag #thekatandryanshow added to the Old Hollywood theme.
The Venue
Their intimate Fall wedding took place at Fess Parker Winery in the Santa Ynez Valley of CA at their Rodney’s Vineyard venue, which is set back a five minute drive into the property. It’s totally secluded and adjacent to the beautiful little pond. Throughout the venue there are panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and luscious vineyards.
Ceremony & Cocktail Hour
After the short and sweet ceremony where Katherine and Ryan tied the knot and then walked hand and hand down the aisle to St. Lucia’s “Closer Than This”, guests enjoyed a sunny afternoon with tray passed hors d’oeuvres and delicious Fess Parker wine and signature cocktails.
Dinner
Among the olive trees, Katherine and Ryan hosted their first dinner as husband and wife. Omni Catering & Events served a delicious plated dinner featuring roasted chicken and short rib entrees and tableside wine service. There were vegan options on the menu throughout the event for the couple’s numerous vegan guests.
Dancing
After dinner Katherine and Ryan danced the night away with friends and family, cut their vanilla and fried bananas with rum vegan wedding cake from local Bodega Bakeshop and offered an epic late night popcorn bar. With mix and match popcorn options like parmesan & herb and mix-ins like milk duds and dried cranberries, the popcorn bar was a hit! There were even little bags available for guests to take home and enjoy later.
