HOW MUCH DOES A SANTA BARBARA WEDDING COST, AND IS MY BUDGET REALISTIC FOR THE VENUE I LOVE?

Generally, the Santa Barbara weddings you see in our portfolio are between $850-$1,750 per person. If this number feels feasible for you, set up a consultation, and we will happily give you some rough budget guidance for your preferred venue. If we work together, at the beginning of our wedding-planning process we’ll create a preliminary budget with a detailed vendor breakdown before you sign any contracts.

With extensive backgrounds in project management, we take protecting your investment incredibly seriously and know just how to help you spend in a way that aligns with your priorities and desired guest experience. 

HOW MANY WEDDINGS DO YOUR WEDDING PLANNERS TAKE ON PER YEAR? 

On average, we take on only 15 weddings per year. As a boutique, husband-and-wife wedding-planning team, we pride ourselves on treating each wedding like we would our own. We’re careful to only book a small number of weddings each year, so we can give yours the full attention it deserves.

HAVE YOU WORKED AT MY VENUE BEFORE? 

As seasoned Santa Barbara wedding planners, we’ve worked at dozens of the best venues in the area, including Rosewood Miramar, The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Montecito Club, Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm, the Santa Barbara Historical Museum—along with private estates and ranches.

If we haven’t worked at your venue before, we’ll do a tour and get fully up to speed on the venue logistics within 2-4 weeks of you booking our services.

I LIVE OUT OF STATE—HOW IS DESTINATION WEDDING PLANNING HANDLED FROM AFAR? 

A majority of our clients live out of state, so we work with our clients through a cloud-based wedding-planning portal, video meetings, phone calls, and emails. As experienced destination wedding planners, we pride ourselves on keeping you in the loop—but never inundated—with a process that’s accessible, approachable, and hyper-organized. 

We just ask that you come to Santa Barbara 1 or 2 times during the planning process for in-person meetings that require your presence (catering and cake tastings, tablescape and floral mockups, and your venue walkthrough).

DO YOU PLAN ELOPEMENTS?

Yes. We love helping couples plan elopements, intimate weddings and vow renewals! You get the same planning expertise, design savvy and top-notch event production Megan Rose Events is known for. But we use a streamlined process and condensed schedule to accommodate a smaller event and shorter planning time frame. Please inquire for a personalized proposal based on the specifics of your event.
